A city master plan of Gwadar development has been approved in by Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) in 2020 focusing on the development of Gwadar as an ideally habitable place for over 2 million people which is divided into 11 functional zones and a special economic district of having 300+ meters high rise buildings and luxury resorts.

Gwadar development projects have created Gwadar as a booming city of two million people in very near future with a $15,000 GDP per capita which is almost 10 times higher than the rest of Pakistan standing at $1500 / capita.

Gwadar City Master Plan Explained

Gwadar Smart City Master Plan which was prepared by Chinese state-owned company China Communications Construction Company in conjunction with Pakistan’s Minister of Planning, Development & Reform and Gwadar Development Authority has been approved for implementation in 9th Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) of Parliament on CPEC in Early 2020. This master plan has been designed in such a way that economic output of Gwadar city should reach $30 billion per annum in next 10 years it should reach to $200-300 billion in 2050.
