Pakistan Elections 2018: Analysis on the Current Pakistan’s Election Scenario

Competition for Pakistan’s Parliamentarian Elections 2018 is over as on 25 July 2018, about 100 million registered voters of Pakistani nation have casted their votes.

Competition for Pakistan’s Parliamentarian Elections 2018 is over as on 25 July 2018, about 100 million registered voters of Pakistani nation have casted their votes. 4 favorite leaders were challenging the election grounds by presenting their 11800 candidates to get 849 state and federal parliamentarian seats.

Four main parties, Pakistan Muslim League (N), Pakistan Tahrik-e-Insaf, Pakistan People’s Party and All Pakistan Muslin Leagues (Parvaiz Musharaf) were active runners for the Pakistan’s General election 2018. The Scenario of this current election could be named as one of the most challenging and interest elections of Pakistan history as these elections have a lot of unanswered incidences where are left behind for the nation to be solved for next time. For example, PTI for the first time nominate candidates all over the Pakistan, even most the candidates are unknown to its leader, Imran Khan. Before the election, Parvaiz musharaf of APML was barred to contest the election and even its party and another important incidence was the arrest of PMLN leadership so that they cannot participate in election campaigns and even cast their votes, as it seems they are not the Pakistani citizens.

In all previous elections, it was predictable that what could possibly be the result of elections but this time it has been complicated as the most favorite leaders are behind the bars or barred from contesting elections. A local proverb is fit here “Son; Dad I got the first position in race. Father: great, how many participants were in race? Son: I was alone”.
