Since its inception by President Pervez Musharraf in 2000, Every alternative year, in the last week of November of first week of December, Pakistan organize IDEAS and every year 100s of defence delegation from more than 50 countries including 10,000+ trade visitors visit the exhibition. Every year, a new innovative defence tool is being introduced for the global market and multi-million dollar trade contracts are signed by the ministry of defence production of Pakistan with the defence delegations from the world to export high quality weapons to the world.
The most productive geopolitical region of Asia is one of the largest markets for Defence Products. In a bid to effectively meet the new challenge posed by the transformed regional and global security dynamics, Asia, as well as governments of the neighboring continent of Africa, allocates significant budgets for modernization and up-gradation programs for their armed forces.
